Talita Boodhram

About

Talita Boodhram is the Chief Marketing & Sales Officer at MiDesk Global where the MiDesk (wheelie schoolbag that converts into a desk and chair with a solar light for underprivileged children in rural areas) started as her school science project when she was 16 years old. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management Studies and Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship, both from the University of Cape Town. She has been the recipient of multiple awards including the Anthony Hill Award for building the best brand in her postgrad year at the University of Cape Town, the African Impact Challenge from The University of Toronto and Mastercard Foundation for the MiDesk as well as the Bambelela Business Award from the Hollywood Foundation for the best Small Business Enterprise (SME) in Gauteng, South Africa.
